
under the terms of the Jordan Telecom (JT) License Agreement and the provisions of Section 29(e) of the Telecommunications Law, JT is required to offer Interconnection Services to other Licensees.
JT has been designated under the Interconnection Guidelines, dated 14th October 2002, and was requested to issue a Reference Interconnection Offer. A Designated Licensee means a Licensee which TRC (Telecommunications Regulatory Commission) has considered to have a significant market power and requested to publish a RIO. For the avoidance of doubt, this Offer and its Appendices represent JTs Reference Interconnection Offer.
JT hereby offers to interconnect the JT Network with the network of a Licensee in accordance with the principles set out in the Interconnection Guidelines/Instructions, and to supply services and facilities on the terms and conditions as provided for in this Offer.
the RIO defines a standard set of technical and commercial terms by which Jordan Telecom offers interconnection services to other Licensees. It assists operators in reaching fair agreements and forms the basis of a transparent offer to contract with another licensee through a standard interconnection agreement.
This RIO is aimed to be:
publicly available
transparent
non-discriminator
Jordan Telecom reserves the right to amend and update the RIO on regular basis without prejudice to any existing interconnection agreement. Such amendments and updates have to be approved by the TRC.
